    The language arts section contains numerous learning activities that are primarily based on phonics, fluency, and comprehension. Lessons are taught by colorful animated characters that sing, explain, and interact with the students. Reading and writing exercises apply the skills that are taught throughout the chapter. This series constitutes a solid second grade language arts program, correlated to state standards, which is important to many homeschooling families.
